Vera is a Public Health Specialist that completed her Masters in International Public Health at University of Queensland, Brisbane Australia in 2012. She has worked in many capacities with local and international NGOs, including OXFAM GB as Public Health Capacity Building Officer over the past 8 years. She also participated in a series of international meetings on health issues in Switzerland, Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana.
Vera is currently serving as the Director for County Health Services in Liberia and supporting the Minister designate to technically coordinate restoration of health services in the Ebola post recovery process. She serves as a junior advisor and works closely with partners including WHO, USAID, EU and World Bank. She is leading the process of improving quality of care services in Liberia and provides technical oversight to the counties. She is also part of a team from WHO and CDC that's developing the Liberian Public Health Institute concept in Geneva.
